Building on intensive research into the previous waveguide design, JBL has developed a new complex geometry that increases directivity, reduces reflections and delivers a natural on- and off-axis frequency response. The Stage 2 HDI Waveguide Horn is coupled to an anodized aluminum dome tweeter for even greater efficiency and power.

The 260F floorstanding speaker features a unique 2.5-way crossover design that splits the upper woofer’s frequency at a point close to the tweeter’s response, while the lower frequency is split at the other woofer. This design creates a prominent midrange while both woofers continue to extend the deep bass, creating a balanced, cohesive output with powerful lows that are both audible and felt. High-quality materials are used in the Stage 2 crossover, with the high-frequency section featuring air-core inductors and mylar capacitors that reduce distortion and improve sonic performance. The low-frequency section features laminate-core inductors and electrolytic capacitors. These premium materials allow for greater energy transfer and faster energy transfer, elevating the overall performance of the system.

THE 5-WAY CONNECTOR ALLOWS LISTENERS TO CHOOSE THE CONNECTION METHOD TO ACHIEVE THE HIGHEST QUALITY THEY DESIRE. THEY ARE ALSO COMPATIBLE WITH THE CONNECTORS ON JBL MA SERIES AUDIO/VIDEO RECEIVERS (AVRS) FOR A SEAMLESS LOOK THROUGHOUT THE SYSTEM.

The Stage 2 features premium details throughout, including a magnetic front bezel, special trim, and a floating front panel design that are hard to find in this price range.

The 260F features a specially designed 5-way Atmos connector, located on both the bottom and top of the speaker. This unique design hides the wires for a clean and tidy look. When the Atmos connector is not being used, the speaker has a cover to cover it, creating a neat and tidy look.

THE 260F FEATURES A REAR-FIRING DESIGN WITH DUAL ELLIPTICAL VOICE COILS. THIS NEW DESIGN REDUCES AIR VELOCITY AS IT EXITS THE SPEAKER CABINET, ELIMINATING POTENTIAL WIND NOISE OR DISTORTION.
